“Delightfully Deceitful” is an exciting new revenge drama a couple of con artist who lacks empathy and an lawyer who’s excessively empathetic by nature. In order to battle evil, these two polar opposites crew as much as kind an unlikely alliance.
The newly launched teaser begins with lawyer Han Moo Young (Kim Dong Wook) telling Lee Ro Um (Chun Woo Hee), “I understand you.” As if unable to consider that Han Moo Young may empathize along with her, Lee Ro Um asks skeptically, “You?” Han Moo Young replies with conviction, “That’s right, me.”
Han Moo Young goes on to explain a case wherein two burned corpses have been found alongside a 19-year-old woman, with all of the proof indicating that she had dedicated arson. After Lee Ro Um—the 19-year-old in query—is sentenced to fifteen years in jail, Han Moo Young unexpectedly involves her rescue.
“What is it you can do?” she asks, and Han Moo Young replies, “As a legal professional, stopping crime. As a lawyer, taking my client’s side. I might be able to do both.”
Lee Ro Um then reveals her final objective of revenge, warning her lawyer, “There’s something I need to do, and that’s what’s most important to me. Whomever I choose to use [to achieve it], that’s not for you to know.”
As it turns into unclear whether or not Han Moo Young helps Lee Ro Um in her quest or attempting to avoid wasting her from herself, the con artist tells him, “I’d like it if you got lost now.” However, he’s unfazed by her blunt phrases, responding, “No matter what it is you’re hiding, I’m going to find out what it is.”
The teaser ends with Han Moo Young asking Lee Ro Um, “Did you kill them?” She replies with an harmless expression, “Did I?”
“Delightfully Deceitful” will premiere on May 29 at 8:50 p.m. KST. In the meantime, take a look at the brand new teaser under!
