Indian cricket team wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik predicts that KS Bharat will likely be the wicketkeeper for India in the World Test Championship (WTC) final.
Karthik discussed the difficulty with selecting a wicketkeeper for Team India’s playing XI for the World Test Championship (WTC) championship match against Australia. The choice is between KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan in a straight shoot-off since KL Rahul is out due to injury.

The Indian team is in a difficult situation ahead of the crucial one-off Test match against Australia that starts on June 7 at The Oval due to injuries to key players, including starter Rishabh Pant and backup KL Rahul.
Bharat is still the current incumbent after being chosen to wear the gloves for the most recent Border-Gavaskar Test series. The 29-year-old did an excellent job as the wicket-keeper but could not display all of his skills with the bat as he managed only 101 runs from six innings in challenging conditions.

In contrast to Kishan, who has only made 48 first-class appearances and is yet to play in a Test match, 29-year-old Bharat has played 90 first-class games in the longer format despite having only played four Test matches so far.
Although Bharat has so far proven to be the superior gloveman of the two, Kishan is undoubtedly a better batsman and already has an ODI double-century to his credit thanks to his outstanding 210-run innings against Bangladesh in Chattogram at the end of the previous year.

Indian cricket team wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik believes that of the two candidates, KS Bharat is the clear pick. Given the importance of the battle, the veteran player Dinesh Karthik believes that Ishan Kishan should not be put in the spotlight.
Dinesh Karthik said on ICC Review: “I think Bharat will be a pretty straightforward choice because playing Ishan Kishan in his debut and a Test match straight in the World Test Championship Final is asking a bit too much.”
“And the fact that KS Bharat probably tips the scale in favor of himself just a little bit with this keeping edge that he has got. So I do think they will go in with KS Bharat for the final” Dinesh Karthik added.
