Suniel Shetty is a well-known Bollywood actor who has entertained us with his iconic movies since 1992. Recently, he has been in the news for his upcoming movie, Hera Pheri 3, starring alongside Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal.
However, the actor has also shared his strong opinions about social media and how it has had a negative impact on celebrities’ lives. In fact, Suniel Shetty, who is known for speaking his mind, has become fearful of expressing his thoughts due to the abuse and mockery he and his family receive from unknown people on the internet.
During an appearance on “The Ranveer Show,” the actor discussed how online trolling has affected him. He believes that social media has destroyed celebrities’ lives and that there is no longer any privacy in today’s age.
One sentence can be twisted and turned in 15 different ways, destroying lives in the process. Suniel Shetty believes that actors’ comments are often misrepresented, causing further harm. He feels that it is nearly impossible to be on social media and maintain a peaceful existence.
As an “old school” individual, the actor is hurt by this behavior on the internet. He is particularly pained when his daughter, Athiya Shetty, who is also an actress, is called derogatory names like “bitch.”
Even his mother has been targeted by faceless trolls. Suniel Shetty feels that these individuals have become emboldened to mock celebrities without considering the consequences of their actions. Despite the hate, the actor has vowed not to remain silent, stating, “I am a Shetty boy. I would never keep quiet.”
