Ahead of IPL 2023 final, MS Dhoni met Matheesha Pathirana’s family in Chennai. Patheerana’s sister, Vishuka Pathirana, shared three photos of MS Dhoni’s meetup with her family on Instagram. She also shared a heartwarming post on Instagram to thank the CSK skipper for taking care of Matheesha in the team.

Matheesha Pathirana joined CSK last season but only played a couple of games in the latter half. However, in IPL 2023, Dhoni utilized the Sri Lankan pacer to a great extent by handing him death overs. Pathirana has also provided breakthroughs to the team in many games and bowled at an economy of just 7.72.
Meanwhile, CSK will face the winner of the GT vs MI Qualifier 2 match in the IPL 2023 final. The final is scheduled to be played on May 28 (Sunday) at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The MS Dhoni-led side defeated Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 1 match by 15 runs. Batting first, CSK piled up 172-7 in 1st innings with Ruturaj Gaikwad’s 6. Later, they bundled out GT for 157, grabbing a seat in the final.
