Elli Avram surely came as a surprise to all when she walked the ramp for INIFD at the Bombay Times Fashion Week recently. The actress wasn’t just confident when she walked the ramp but her two-in-one dress created a stir too.
An excited Elli, post walking the ramp, spoke to us about her style quotient and how long it takes her to get ready for events. She says, “I usually take one or one-and-a-half hours to get ready for a red carpet event and that is mainly because there are people who do your hair and makeup and it takes time.”
While Elli’s short black dress transforming into a royal blue gown looked spectacular on the ramp, has she ever thought about designing her wedding dress? She laughs and says, “I have been looking at so many beautiful and gorgeous wedding dresses that I feel that when I will be choosing my wedding outfit, I will be confused and would want to wear it all!”
She adds, “But I also feel that my wedding dress can have five different dresses in one which can keep changing with every step I take and at the end the final dress is revealed. That would be fun!”
Recounting the time when she first walked the ramp, the Mickey Virus actress says, “It was back home in Sweden. I always wanted to be a model, so as a kid, I used to practise walking the ramp at home. But because I was too short for their requirements, I couldn’t pursue modelling. But there was this one fashion show where they wanted me to walk no matter what my height was, so I walked for them and I was very confident and walked like a tigress.”
Destiny had its own plans and Elli got into Bollywood. Ask her whose sense of style she likes best in Bollywood and she says, “I love Malaika Arora‘s wardrobe and style. I love all her jeans, crop tops, jackets, shoes… all of them. I would like to get her wardrobe.”
