Apart from these two, the Rajasthan Royals-owned franchise retained left-arm pacer Obed McCoy and Rahkeem Cornwall whereas youngsters Justin Greaves, Joshua Bishop, Nyeem Young, and Ramon Simmonds were also among the players backed by the franchise this year.

Superstars Brandon King, Fabian Allen, and Shamarh Brooks were the three big names that will be part of the team this season. Whereas uncapped players Amir Jangoo, Shamar Springer, Nicholson Gordon, Kirk McKenzie, and Joshua James also got the backing of the team.
Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023 will kick start on 16th August with the blockbuster clash between Jamaica Tallawahs and Saint Lucia Kings in Gros Islet. The Barbados Royals will open their campaign against the Saint Lucia Kings on August 17.
