Cameron Green, an Australian all-rounder, has stated that Rohit Sharma did not panic when MI was struggling in the early stages of the Indian Premier League. Green also discussed batting with Suryakumar Yadav.
In the Indian Premier League elimination round, Green made 41 out of 23 shots. On Wednesday, May 24, after MI lost two quick wickets in the Eliminator, Cameron Green’s brilliant counterattack allowed the side to reach a formidable score against Lucknow Super Giants.

“I think MI has never won the first game in the IPL” – Cameron Green
Suryakumar Yadav and Australian all-rounder Cameron Green contributed 66 runs together off just 38 balls, making it the greatest partnership of the evening for both teams. Cameron Green responded that it was the simplest thing in the world when asked about his time at MI and hitting with SKY.
“It is the easiest job batting with him (Suryakumar Yadav). Obviously a beautiful wicket and you want to get him on strike. That is what my plan is and if I get a loose ball, try and hit it. It is as simple as that, “Cameron Green told the host broadcaster.
Cameron Green discussed his personal IPL form, which peaked at the ideal time. Green has scored the most runs for the squad in the last two games, first against SRH in the last league stage game and then against LSG on Wednesday.
“All the experience that he has got in India and in the IPL. I think MI has never won the first game in the IPL, I think. He has tried to tell us a few times to calm us down at the start. You want to be peaking at this time of the year (tournament).
“That is what he has been speaking about. You don’t want to be playing good cricket at the start and then slowing down. You want to be peaking now. Ya, and we play a nice game tonight,” Cameron Green concluded.

MI will be facing Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad in the IPL Qualifier 2 on Friday, 26 May.
