BLACKPINK‘s Jennie always gains attention for her unreal taste in fashion, but that has come under fire at the recent Cannes Film Festival. After the red carpet, a recent schedule has seen netizens criticize the “Bland” styling of the idol.
Jennie attended the red carpet event at the Cannes Film Festival and literally shook the crowd with her visuals. Yet, some netizens had mixed responses to the idol’s outfit from Chanel, who she is a global ambassador for.
On May 23, Jennie wowed netizens and was once again the main event as the cast of The Idol had a special “Photocall” at the Cannes Film Festival.
Like the night before, Jennie chose a classic black and white outfit for her look, which definitely stood out.
In photos from Korean media outlets, Jennie’s visuals truly shined, and the idol looked like an actress from the “Golden Age” of Hollywood with simple makeup, accessories, and style of dress.
While it was a different style from the night before, it was still classic and elegant.
When the photocall happened, netizens couldn’t get over Jennie’s visuals. In particular, many pointed out how much better Jennie looked in the different and unique outfit and how shocked they were after realizing it wasn’t a Chanel look but was Shushu/Tong.

Yet, while some people loved the look a lot more than the Chanel outfit she’d worn on the red carpet the day before, others still weren’t a fan of the idol’s styling, explaining that the dress looked good because of Jennie’s visuals.
